Hardened Steel Rocker Latch Component
This compact rocker latch component is designed for small mechanical assemblies that require precise movement, strong wear resistance, and reliable actuation. Its pivoting geometry allows it to function as a cam, latch, or internal actuator where one moving surface must engage another part with consistent timing and force.
The part is manufactured from hardened 4140 steel, giving it excellent strength, toughness, and resistance to deformation under repeated use. 4140 is well suited for mechanical components that experience impact, contact stress, and cyclic loading, making it a strong choice for small high-wear linkage and latch applications.
To further improve durability, the component is nitride coated. The nitrided surface provides increased surface hardness, improved wear resistance, and a clean black finish. This makes the part suitable for applications where repeated metal-on-metal contact would quickly wear softer materials.
The shape of the component includes a central pivot hole, raised bearing surfaces, and multiple engagement faces. These features allow it to rotate around a fixed pin while contacting, lifting, releasing, or blocking another internal part. This type of geometry is useful in compact mechanisms such as latches, selector assemblies, lock mechanisms, air-powered toys, industrial controls, and other small mechanical devices.
This is the type of part that looks simple from the outside but requires careful control of material, heat treatment, coating, and dimensional accuracy to work correctly. A small error in the pivot hole, contact angle, or engagement surface can change the timing and feel of the entire mechanism.

Safety-Critical Industrial Interlock Rail
This custom industrial interlock rail was manufactured for a customer with a highly specific safety-critical design requirement. The component was part of a life-saving mechanical interlock system where material strength, dimensional accuracy, surface durability, and reliability were all essential.
The part was manufactured from hardened 4140 steel and finished with a nitride coating. This material and finish combination provides excellent strength, toughness, surface hardness, and wear resistance, making it suitable for demanding mechanical applications where failure is not acceptable.
One of the most challenging aspects of this component was its long, thin geometry. Parts with this shape can easily twist, bow, or warp during heat treatment. Despite that difficulty, we were able to heat treat and coat the component while maintaining excellent straightness and dimensional stability.
The finished part demonstrates our ability to manufacture specialized components for customers with demanding requirements. Stainless Steel Reinforcement Plate
This custom stainless steel reinforcement plate was manufactured for a customer’s 3D printed lawn sprinkler component. The printed part needed additional strength around the screw locations, and the customer needed a thin, precise metal reinforcement that could be produced economically at scale.
We manufactured the component from stainless steel using precision stamping. After stamping, the parts were deburred and polished to remove sharp edges and provide a clean finished surface suitable for installation against plastic components.
The shape was designed to spread screw loads across the 3D printed part, reducing the risk of cracking, pull-through, or localized deformation. This allowed the customer to keep the advantages of 3D printing while reinforcing the areas that needed higher strength and durability.
Because the part was designed for efficient stamping, we were able to reduce the manufacturing cost dramatically. Instead of paying dollars per part for a machined or inefficiently produced component, the customer was able to receive a polished stainless steel reinforcement plate for pennies per part.
